Calvin died in May 2004 while fighting with his disease mesothelioma to secure life. He was diagnosed to mesothelioma in May 2004 and exact after 12 months he was died in may 2004 because of his disease mesothelioma. Calvin was died at the age of 53.
Before the diagnosis of mesothelioma, Calvin was exceptional in body shape. He had ideals muscular body physic. Calvin was an expert cyclist, he use to ride 13,000 feet high mountains of Mexico and neighboring Colorado near his home town. He observe something different through his cycling, he felt that he has started experiencing shortness in breathing despite of having regular extensive aerobic classes.
With his wife Cathy he went to a mesothelioma specialist doctor for consultation. There he was informed that he is a patient of mesothelioma and all these effects are due to mesothelioma damages in his body. He starts taking the pain full treatment of mesothelioma including surgery and chemotherapy. A famous surgeon, Dr. Sugarbaker removes right lung, pleural lining and surrounding layer of his heart. This surgery was done with the help of 30 radiations. The treatment was done to rid of Calvin’s body of cancer cells as many as possible.
But unfortunately, Calvin never gets his previous back. And the painful surgery was unsuccessful in stopping or slowing the process of increasing mesothelioma malignant cells from the Calvin’s body. Furthermore in the early of 2004 some scans of CAT and PET revealed the fact that tumors has been developed in the body which has extensively spread out in the whole body including his head.
Despite of all the failures, Calvin was still hopeful for his treatment of mesothelioma and he keeps on seeking the medical help. In 2004, Cathie and Calvin have spent many weeks cancer treatment hospital. He had a tube installation in his body because cancer has attacked his esophagus which has made talking almost impossible for him. The reason of this disease was his brief job in powerhouse during early 70s.
